Everglades painting- Anhinga
The painting I did today was from my trip to the Everglades. I didn't really know what I would find in the Everglades, I just expected swamps. We saw lots of wildlife- including manatees, crocodiles, alligators, and birds I have never seen or even heard of before!
One of those birds was the Anhinga. It's found in the southern swamps, and is also known as the water-turkey.

latest painting- Waimea Canyon III

Here is my latest little painting. This is Waiemea Canyon in Kauai, Hawaii. I was lucky enough to get to visit Hawaii this January. This is a 5x7 on canvas panel.
I have to take a little break from posting them to ebay because I will be traveling. But when I get back, I'll start auctioning them off again! So far, selling on ebay has been going pretty well. I have sold 3 of these little paintings so far, and another one has a bid. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes!

Painting a Day- Waimea Canyon
Waimea Canyon is in Kauai, Hawaii. I was there in January 2010, and spent some time painting en plein aire at the canyon. Even though it is only a fraction of the size of the Grand Canyon, it is still spectacular, and impossible to fully capture in a picture.

Twin Pumpkins
I found these pumpkins at a place called Honeysuckle Farm in Springfield, TN. I knew when I saw them I had to paint them!
